Asmongold threatens Twitch with Dan Saltman, but who’s that?

Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt recently came back from a two-week Twitch ban, and he’s now analyzing whether the platform is biased against a particular group. To do that, he’s threatened to bring Dan Saltman to expose “damaging conversations” about Twitch.

Asmongold was recently banned from Twitch for making anti-Palestinian and racist remarks, resulting in a two-week suspension. According to him, this ban helped him self-reflect, motivating him to clean up his nasty house as well. However, the streamer now argues that Twitch was overly harsh, suggesting there is favoritism for a particular group. On his most recent stream, Asmongold responded to the Central Committee’s two-day ban for implying violence against Steven “Destiny” Bonnell II. He said that Central Committee should also receive a two-week ban, and if not, he would platform Dan Saltman, who is a known critic of the platform.

According to Asmongold, two have discussed anti-Semitism on Twitch, and he plans on revealing it all on stream.

When is the Asmongold and Dan Saltman stream?

Asmongold has discussed the possibility of bringing Dan Saltman to his stream soon to talk about all instances where Twitch displayed leniency for pro-Palestine groups. He’s using Central Committee’s short ban as an example, a streamer who implied he would pay money for a viewer to hurt Destiny.

For those unaware, Dan Saltman is a co-host of banned Twitch streamer Destiny’s show Anything Else. Both are leftist streamers who don’t shy from criticizing Twitch over its policies and bans. Many of Saltman’s recent posts have been around Twitch displaying leniency for Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, a pro-Palestine political streamer.

“I can’t make this any more clear. I will not rest until Daniel Clancy is removed from his position and the Jews of Twitch are safe from discrimination, and double-standard moderation. I swear, I will not play Rust again until my mission is complete.” said Saltman, who has over 14,000 hours on Rust.

Asmongold has revealed that he has already discussed several instances of Twitch’s favoritism with Saltman, claiming to have “damaging conversations” and information that hasn’t been made public yet.

His ban was notably lengthy, given the severity of his remarks, which included blatant racism against Palestinian and Muslim culture, as well as justifying ongoing genocide. It remains to be seen what this damaging information entails and whether it will lead to further revelations about the platform’s internal policies or biases.
