Riot Games is releasing a documentary series about the making of their hit animated series Arcane. Bridging the Rift will feature five episodes that will be released each Thursday, starting tomorrow, August 4th.

Riot released a trailer video on Twitter, bringing fans a sneak peek of the docuseries.

Arcane: Bridging the Rift will give fans an insight into how Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, and the rest of the Arcane crew came to life. It will tell a story of everything that went into making a full-scale animated series, from the idea to animation, music, production, etc.

It will also show a deeper look into Riot Games and the French animation studio Fortiche Production’s partnership on the project.

The success story of Arcane

Arcane was a very ambitious project for a company that had produced only a few music videos at the time Riot kicked off the project years ago. However, they clearly overcame all issues they faced and scored a “home run.”

In a very short time frame, Arcane achieved unbelievable success. The series quickly topped Netflix charts, holding the number one spot for three weeks in a row. It reached the top 10 in 52 countries with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 9.0/10 IMDB rating.

Besides Emmy Award nominations, Arcane recently won nine Annie Awards and became the most awarded TV series of the year. Also, Arcane’s soundtrack “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons and J.I.D. reached number one on Billboard’s charts, surpassing one billion streams.

Arcane: Bridging the Rift episode one premieres tomorrow, August 4th, on YouTube.
