ARAM Mayhem, a game mode like ARAM but with Arena’s augments, is set to release shortly. This game mode is highly anticipated, so let’s see what ARAM Mayhem is about.
The concept of ARAM Mayhem in League of Legends is very simple: It’s an ARAM game, with everything being normal there. With the addition that all players receive a choice of augments at levels 1, 7, 11, and 15.
Augments are buffs that can affect just about anything to your gameplay. ARAM Mayhem Augments can:
Each time, you will be offered a choice of 3 augments, and you have a couple of rerolls at your disposal to swap out an option for a new one.
Augments can be Silver, Gold, or Prismatic tier. The Prismatic ones are the strongest, most impactful, and most game-warping ones. On the other hand, the Gold and Silver Augments are progressively weaker and less noticeable. Lastly, all Augments offered to all players at one set level will be of the same tier.

In Arena, Augments are offered in-between rounds, when there’s no combat or anything else going on. But there is no such luxury in ARAM, and it would be a bit awkward if your character suddenly paused in the middle of a teamfight upon reaching level 7 because you have to pick a new Augment. Upon reaching levels 7, 11, and 15, players receive their next Augment upon dying. The selection pop-up will appear by itself then.
Many Augments are the same as the ones you know and love from Arena. Others have been re-tuned to fit a game mode with 5 players and a shop to earn gold for. And some are brand new to ARAM Mayhem! A few Prismatic items, for instance, have also been turned into Augments, like Cruelty.
Some more things here differ from Arena, or have been added from it into the ARAM experience:
As for the finer details such as the full Augments list and the new things to find out head onto the Bridge and play ARAM Mayhem now to discover it all for yourself.
