Ana and Topson join T1 in their quest to qualify for The International Dota 2 Championship 2022 (TI11).
Formerly of OG Esports, both have played together and won consecutive TI’s in 2018 and 2019.
Winning consecutive TI’s made them the wealthiest players in esports and also helped them cement a legacy no other team or player has been able to.
During TI10, Topson experienced a sombre season with OG, while Ana retired after failing to qualify directly for TI10.
They will bolster the SEA team’s chances right before the TI11 regional qualifiers bringing a wealth of experience and talent to the table.
While Ana has officially joined T1 as a player, Topson has joined as a stand-in. They replace the outgoing members, Gabbi and Karl, respectively.
Ana will play the carry role, while Topson will play the mid-role, which catapulted them to worldwide fame.
After a brilliant start to the DPC 2021/22 season, T1 slowly faded to obscurity, with their playstyle becoming complacent and jaded.
The last straw was their inability to qualify for the PGL Arlington Major 2022, which forced T1’s hand to make a roster change.
With both TI winners showing interest in competing again, it was a no-brainer move for the organization than hiring them.
Are you excited to watch the star-studded SEA TI11 qualifiers? We sure are.
