The run for vtuber AmaLee in the famed VShojo agency didn’t last long, as she has now announced her immediate graduation from the agency after just six months of joining as drama unfolds around it.
AmaLee may be new to VShojo, but she has been active on YouTube since 2010. The YouTuber originally created a singing channel with her partner, who left in 2014. She continued to run the channel herself and eventually debuted as an independent vtuber in 2021. AmaLee joined VShojo in January 2025 and currently boasts over two million subscribers on YouTube and close to 500,000 followers on Twitch.
The vtuber’s future with VShojo seemed bleak when she removed the agency’s mention from her social media accounts after Ironmouse’s revelation that VShojo has been mishandling money and not paying its talents. Just a few hours after that, she tweeted to inform fans that she is officially graduating from VShojo.
Vtuber AmaLee stated in her tweet that she is terminating her contract with VShojo effective immediately, and will be returning to working as an independent vtuber.
AmaLee’s graduation announcement wasn’t too detailed, as the vtuber simply stated that she was an independent content creator for 18 years prior to her joining VShojo and that she will now return to that lifestyle. She informed fans that she’ll retain her own IP and continue her activities as before, but once again as an independent talent. The vtuber emphasized that nothing about her content would change as a result of the move, and she offered her best wishes to the other remaining VShojo talents.

Fans and other vtubers have offered their support to AmaLee for having to leave VShojo so recently after joining the agency. AmaLee didn’t explicitly state that her graduation from the VShojo is due to the controversy surrounding the agency, but it’s all but confirmed, as the vtuber replied to Ironmouse’s announcement tweet with words of support for her plight and also retweeted the donation link for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, the charity from which VShojo is accused of essentially stealing funds.
Multiple other VShojo talents including Projekt Melody, K9Kuro, and Michi Mochievee have either announced their graduations or their decisions to terminate their contracts. Ironmouse’s revelation has taken the vtuber world by storm, with most everyone offering support to the seeming victims of VShojo’s embezzling.
Former VShojo vtuber Veibae has also spoken out about VShojo and its myriad drama and issues, revealing that she left the agency in 2023 because of the same problems talents are facing right now. Veibae stated she signed an NDA and was unable to speak out against the agency upon her departure, but that the reality was now plain for everyone to see.
