It is all but confirmed that the independent vtuber Dooby is the ex-Hololive star Amelia Watson. While Dooby didn’t come out and directly admit to being the ex-Hololive vtuber, she dropped major hints during her debut stream that seemingly confirmed the suspicions of fans. Dooby’s debut stream explained her vtuber lore to her fans and introduced them to her model. After her debut on October 25, 2024, Dooby gave another hint to fans that she is the graduated technical genius of Hololive. Dooby announced she would provide tech and consultation to vtubers. Many fans wondered whether Hololive would avail the services of their ex-techy. There is also much confusion among fans regarding the model of Dooby and what her gadgets can do.

What makes Dooby’s model unique?

Dooby was a mouse who was turned into a humanoid by a shooting star, and her model wears a train conductor outfit that has special goggles.

Dooby’s outfit belongs to the conductor of the train which she uses to stream for her fans. The previous conductor was a kappa named Kippu who set up the shooting star. Kippu was bored of his job and wanted a replacement for himself.

As per her lore, after Dooby transformed from a jerboa into a humanoid, she found the train and the uniform. While she wears the uniform, she wants to share the job with the old conductor Kippu. The train conductor’s uniform is a normal short-sleeved white shirt, dark blue short-legged dungarees, a matching dark blue cap, and a green necktie.

Dooby’s coat and cap are inspired by the uniforms from the anime series Golden Kamuy and Girls’ Last Tour. These items of Dooby’s model are ordinary. However, Dooby’s goggles are unique as they allow the vtuber to download information to her brain.
