All cute but deadly Dragon Trainer League of Legends skins

League of Legends Dragon Trainer skins

There may not be a ton of Dragon Trainer skins in League of Legends, but the few that do exist are cute enough to make it a memorable line.

The Dragon Trainer skins focus on dragons before they’re giant, terrifying creatures. And who’s the best for training these tiny creatures? League of Legends’ infamous tiny champions, yordles! All of the Dragon Trainer skins are for yordles, which makes it seem like their dragons are being raised for good, cuteness, and fun.

Each of the Dragon Trainer League of Legends skin features the dragons themselves as much as the Champion.

Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger

“Dragon training, to the few who understand it, seems to be the sole domain of yordles. Heimerdinger has long believed that dragons and humankind can peacefully coexist, citing centuries of his own successful research. His current dragon hatchling, Pythagoras, holds no opinion on the subject.”

As someone with a large arsenal of weapons, Heimerdinger is the perfect Dragon Trainer. The skin makes it so that his turrets are small dragons. These same dragons also dance with him in this skin’s dance and throw him up in another taunt. The dragon in the splash art for Dragon Trainer Heimerdinger comes into the game when Heimberdinger uses his ultimate ability with his Q.

When that’s unleashed, the dragon Pythagoras becomes a giant, destructive turret that protects Heimerdinger.

Dragon Trainer Lulu

“Dragons, though feared, are still living things and can be befriended under the right circumstances. Lulu enthralled her small friend with whimsical magic… becoming the first ever dragon trainer.”

Lulu is the original Dragon Trainer, and she’s got two dragon friends who accompany her in League of Legends. The dragon flying around Lulu is Pix, which is the same name as her typical fairy. The hatchlings that appear in the Dragon Trainer Lulu splash art don’t make an appearance in-game, despite how adorable they are.

Dragon Trainer Lulu came out in 2012 and was the first one in the skin line.

Dragon Trainer Tristana

“As the dragonslayers fought a bitter war with their nemeses, Tristana was busy with a draconic matter of her own. Deep in the wooded forests, away from the battles, she busily trained a young dragon—a trying task rewarded with lifelong friendship.”

One thing that stands out with the Dragon Trainer skins is that yordles are befriending the dragons while taming them. This is most apparent in Dragon Trainer Tristana, who has a very close friendship with Riggle. The laughing emote for the skin is literally Riggle licking the bandle gunner. Tristana uses Riggle in place of her gun, letting the dragon hurl fireballs as bullets.

For those who really love the skin, there’s a ward skin featuring Riggle as well. The dragon also makes an appearance in other Tristana skins. For Little Demon Tristana, she uses a skeletal dragon gun.
