Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev has numerous stickers from majors played throughout his CSGO and CS2 career, some expensive and all eye-catching.
s1mple competed in every CS major between 2016 and 2023 with Team Liquid and Natus Vincere. Currently playing on loan for Team Falcons, the Ukrainian player has been called one of the best CSGO players by fans and analysts alike. It’s only fitting, then, that he would have a number of commemorative stickers for his plethora of fans to use in-game.
Here is every one of s1mple’s stickers that he earned throughout his competitive CS career and just how rare they can be.
In his decade plus playing CSGO and CS2 professionally, s1mple has collected 12 different major autograph stickers with 39 unique variations.
While there are more types of stickers in CS2, major autograph stickers usually consist of paper, foil, holo, glitter, and gold. Paper stickers are usually the most common to drop from a capsule and ranked as high grade. On the other end of the spectrum, gold stickers are almost always rated as extraordinary and are some of the rarest in the game. The market rate for some of s1mple’s gold stickers reflect both their small supply and increased demand as they’ve aged.
Below are all of s1mple’s stickers from 2016 to 2023 and their approximate prices. All prices come from CSGOSkins, for any fans who have the interest and the cash.
Paper (high grade): $12
Foil (exotic): $146
Gold (exotic): —
In 2016, s1mple earned three stickers for his first major performance. His debut included a high grade paper sticker for the Team Liquid-specific capsule and two exotic ones for the Challengers capsule.
None of s1mple’s gold stickers are currently listed for sale. Lhey’ve become a massive collector’s item that are considered too valuable to have a set price on the open market. The same is true for both Cologne 2016 and Atlanta 2017.
Paper (high grade): $17
Foil: $200
Gold: —
ESL One Cologne 2016 was s1mple’s second and last major competing with Team Liquid. They came second to SK Gaming, losing the first two of three matches in the final. All of s1mple’s remaining stickers come from his tenure as an AWPer with Navi.
Paper: $40
Foil: $268
Gold: —
s1mple’s paper and foil Eleague 2017 stickers are the highest priced in their respective categories. Part of the reason may be due to the fact that they both look similar to the exotic gold sticker, even if they aren’t. Adding to this, s1mple’s gold sticker from Eleague 2017 isn’t available for sale, which could be inflating the price of the others.
Paper (high grade): $11
Foil (remarkable): $63
Gold (extraordinary): $3980
Krakow saw a shift in how CS autograph stickers were classified. Foil stickers became more common at the expense of gold stickers becoming significantly rarer. These categories remained constant until Antwerp 2022. Additionally, Valve got rid of the team-specific autograph capsules. s1mple’s stickers from Krakow 2017 could be found in the Legends Autograph capsule.
Furthermore, s1mple’s most expensive sticker on record comes from the Krakow major. Coming in at almost $4,000, it’s the most extra way that a player can decorate their weapon.
Paper: $7
Foil: $39
Gold: $1700
s1mple came in third in Boston, going on to join the London 2018 legends seed for the major ahead. His extraordinary gold sticker is the second highest priced of his entire collection, making it almost as rare as the nor-for-sale stickers from earlier majors.
Paper: $4
Foil: $19
Gold: $1085
This is the last of the s1mple stickers to break 1,000 dollars, though the exact reason why it was the FACEIT London gold sticker is unknown. One possible reason is that it was the last sticker to be released over five years ago, and the Katowice gold will likely go up in the coming months. Navi also came in second place again, adding clout to the team name and any player associated with it.
Paper: $3
Foil: $10
Gold: $275
The IEM Katowice major stickers are some of the more simple of the, well, s1mple designs. However, they remain relatively high priced because of their exclusivity from the Legends Autograph capsule.
Paper: $1
Foil: $4
Gold: $38
For StarLadder, s1mple ditched his smiley face signature of the past several majors in exchange for a cleaner, arguably more professional look. Despite the new look and potentially new attitude, however, Navi only came in seventh place in its last pre-pandemic major.
Paper: $0.05
Holo (remarkable): $1
Gold: $26
Stockholm 2021 marks the first major win for both Navi and s1mple. Additionally, s1mple took home the MVP award, his record-breaking eighth in a single calendar year. He led the team to a rating of 1.51 as reported by HLTV.
In terms of stickers, Valve traded out foil autograph stickers for holos. Holos get their shininess from the holographic image, whereas foils have a metallic emboss coating. 2021 also marks the major turning point for paper stickers, dropping the autographed price below one dollar.
Paper (high grade): $0.10
Glitter (remarkable): $0.80
Foil (exotic): $15
Gold (extraordinary): $44
With the Antwerp 2022 Major came the addition of the remarkable glitter autograph stickers. Holo autograph stickers were bumped up in rarity from remarkable to exotic like they were in the first handful of CSGO majors. Furthermore, each player got four stickers to celebrate their competition in the tournament rather than three.
Paper: $0.30
Glitter: $1.30
Foil: $6
Gold: $56
Rio marked the first CS major held in South America, showing off the country’s burgeoning CS2 player base. Returning yet again as a Legend, s1mple’s EM Rio stickers have some of the most colorful and detailed imagery of the whole set.
Paper: $0.008
Glitter: $0.40
Foil: $7
Gold: $40
The last set of CS s1mple stickers come from the BLAST Paris major. They have some of the lowest prices on the list, in part due to their relatively recent availability. However, they do mark the second Navi major win as well as the final CSGO major before Valve switched to CS2.
Unfortunately, regardless of whether Team Falcons qualifies for the Shanghai Major in December or not, s1mple won’t be receiving a sticker collection. Due to his temporary transfer and listing as a stand-in, tournament officials have ruled that neither he nor other stand-ins qualify to get a new design. Fans who were looking forward to the first official s1mple CS2 sticker, then, will have to wait and see if he makes it to Austin in June 2025.
The designated sticker rarity determines the drop rate from any given capsule.
Unlike weapons, which have five rarity tiers, stickers only have four. Each jump in rarity corresponds with a five times decrease in likelihood of being in a given capsule.
The age of a sticker can also affect the rarity to the right collector. Since stickers such as those from majors are only released for a limited time, extraordinary stickers from autograph capsules can go for thousands of dollars depending on the player.
