This will be one of the most significant updates in the game to date due to the amount of nerfs and buffs to various heroes. Additionally, two new Heroes will be released in Season 4.

To announce the launch of Marvel Rivals season 4, Marvel Rivals released a trailer on their social media platforms and YouTube channel.

  • Angela, a new Vanguard hero: The first hero to be introduced in the YouTube video is Angela. She is known as the one-winged angel of Asgard. She is known as the sister of Hela, Loki, and Thor and the daughter of Odin. The interesting part about her is that Angela wasn’t originally from Marvel Comics. Marvel Comics bought her rights, and then she was added this year to Marvel Rivals. Angela will be released on September 12th on the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 4.
  • In the trailer, another hero was announced, Daredevil: One point to note is that Daredevil will be released in the game during Season 4.5 in October. For those not aware, Daredevil is blind, and while not being a hero, he is a lawyer.

New map added: Heart of the Heaven

Within this season, a new map was added to the game. This map is known as Heart of the Heaven. It will be available in the Convergence game mode from September 25th.

New gameplay features

It must be added that within the Arcade mode of the game, a lot of new features were added. Firstly, two new game modes, called Free Fight and Conquest, will be added to Arcade mode as well.

  • Free Fight: Players will have no restrictions on selecting the same heroes, i.e., three players in one team can both pick a hero like Human Torch.
  • Conquest game mode: Players must rack up points by securing knockouts; the team that earns the most points wins.

Additionally, game modes like Clone Rumble and Giant Size Brain Blast will return permanently in Season 4 within the Arcade game mode.

Season 4.5

Season 4.5 Update

Season 4.5 of Marvel Rivals will be the latest season within the game cycle. The next season of the game will go live worldwide on October 10th. Similar to previous mid-season patches, we will be seeing quite a few changes to heroes within the game. The primary focus of the update is to implement the necessary adjustments within the game to maintain a more balanced experience.

To announce the launch of Marvel Rivals season 4, Marvel Rivals released a trailer on their social media platforms and YouTube channel. In the trailer, the second hero to be announced was Daredevil. For those not aware, Daredevil is blind, and while not being a hero, he is a lawyer. Daredevil will be available within Marvel Rivals following the launch of Season 4.5 on October 10th. The hero will be a part of the duelist class. This ultimate will result in enemies looking at him having their vision reduced, and becoming fearful of Daredevil. Similar to the comics, we will also see Daredevil use his radar sense to locate his enemies.

New Team-Ups & Hero Nerfs And Buffs

A major change within Team Up abilities is that Ragnarok Rebirth has been removed from the game in the upcoming patch. In the Team Up ability Gamma Charge, Namor has been removed from it. To make up for these changes, there are two new Team Up abilities added to the game. They are as follows:

  • Bestial Hunt: Punisher and Daredevil
  • Deep Wrath: Namor and Hela

There will be a new game mode added into Marvel Rivals. This will be announced on October 17th during the Thailand Game Show. There will also be a special Halloween-based event and new skins for various heroes, including Blade, Spiderman, and Scarlet WitchAnother event, known as the Jade Scrolls of K’un-Lun, will be released on the launch of Season 4.5. Within this, players will be able to receive the Storm – Judicator XieZhi skin for free by completing Jade Scrolls missions in the game.

Another feature that will be added to the game is cross-platform progression. While in Season 4.5, only a small batch of players will be able to try it out. It would be fully available during Season 5.0. There is a new ranked reward as well for players. If players reach Gold or higher during Season 4.5 ranked ladder, they would receive the Daredevil – Shenloong’s Creed skin in Marvel Rivals.
