As part of the overall satisfaction players can get, grinding to reach the top of the Fortnite ranks is the ultimate goal in Epic’s most beloved battle-royale title.
Just like any other competitive game, Fortnite uses a ranking system to determine the skill level of players as they progress through the game. Some may reach higher ranks because of how good they are, while others get carried up to the top by their friends in team queues. Regardless, reaching the higher ranks is still a great achievement.
There are eight ranks in Fortnite, but getting to the highest rank is not an easy task.
Here are all the eight Fortnite ranks players can reach upon grinding the game arranged from lowest to highest.
Bronze to diamond ranks are all classified into three tiers. For example, Bronze-ranked players can be labeled bronze I, bronze II, or bronze III. The same goes for silver, gold, platinum, and diamond. Players who reach elite won’t be demoted for the rest of the season. This is also applicable to players once they level up to champion or unreal.
To rank up in Fortnite, players must both achieve good match placements and eliminate other players.
There are several ways to achieve higher Fortnite ranks. The first one is to have good match placements. By this, players can gain points which can potentially allow them to progress through the ranks when playing ranked matches. Always aim to finish with a Victory Royale to have more points, or at least a top 10 finish would be ideal.
Fortnite players can also rank up by eliminating other players. This is mainly for the arena mode. Not only do kills reward players with more points, but it also makes them more engaged when it comes to combat while enhancing their skills in the process.
Grinding to go through the ranks is a challenging thing, but aside from the bragging rights and fulfillment game-wise, in-game rewards like cosmetics, emotes, sprays, loading screens, and more.
