We asked

If you could only play one game for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s the best game I’ve ever played, and it has hours and hours of content. Every playthrough can be different, too, so it would take a while to truly get stale.
What's your most controversial gaming opinion?
Maybe it’s only controversial since I’m also a sports fan and writer, but sports games need to either become live service or fold and make way for the arcade-style (Super Mega Baseball 2, Rematch) sports games instead.
What led you to a career in gaming journalism?
When I first graduated, there wasn’t much I could find in the realm of remote writing, but I got an opportunity to write about a game I casually played (Fortnite) and took it and ran with it. Now, writing about games is the best part of my day.
Who is your favorite video game character of all time?
Link from The Legend of Zelda. There’s just something so incredible about a hero stepping up every single time for a variety of reasons, but largely out of duty. We don’t have too many people like that.
What's one genre of game you wish you were better at?
Shooter. I can lower the difficulty on plenty of games, but not online shooters like Fortnite or Call of Duty. Skill-based matchmaking can only do so much, and those games are undeniably fun to play with friends. They’d be more fun if I was better.
