The EMEA Regional Leagues will return at the start of January 2026 providing more opportunity for LoL betting. Find out what changed in the League of Legends EMEA Tier 2 competition, and the dates of the tournaments in 2026.
In 2026, the ERLs will remain three-split structures. Each split will lead to qualifications for the corresponding EMEA Masters – everything just like 2025.
The schedule for the year is as follows:
| ERL Winter Split | 7 January – 8 March |
|---|---|
| EMEA Masters Winter | 9 March – 15 March |
| ERL Spring Split | 23 March – 7 June |
| EMEA Masters Spring | 8 June – 25 June |
| ERL Summer Split | 26 June – 17 September |
| EMEA Masters Summer | 21 September – 19 October |
Riot specified that the ERL dates might not be final. Furthermore, each league may have their own start and end dates. The indicated dates are mostly just covering the time gap between one EMEA Masters and the next, so the splits will not run outside of that, at least.
Ironically, this means that the 2026 EMEA Masters Summer will entirely run… in Autumn.

The ERLs of 2025 return for the 2026 season! Which gives the following line-up:
The Spanish ERL gets a new tournament organizer for 2026, LastLap and Cabal Esports. Formerly known as LVP SuperLiga Orange, then Superliga Domino’s, the league will come back under a new name for 2026.
Each one of these leagues will use the same general principle. Some form of regular season into playoffs, and the playoffs winner(s) qualify for the following EMEA Masters. However, each tournament organizer decides the format of their own regular season and playoffs.
In 2025, the two ERLs that made the most waves were the LFL and the NLC. The LFL brought Karmine Corp and now their secondary team, KC Blue, who won the 2025 Summer EMEA Masters and will play in the 2026 LEC Versus. Meanwhile, Caedrel’s team, Los Ratones brought hundreds of thousands of eyes onto the NLC. LR will not return to an ERL in 2026, though, so the NLC’s viewership and success should massively drop in 2026.
In 2025, Riot Games made the decision to give each league more control over its ruleset, stating that tournament organizers knew their own region’s needs better than they would. For 2026, Riot is doubling down on that approach.
A rule of ERLs obligated each team to field a minimum of two locally trained representatives. Some regions then pushed this rule further, opting for a higher number. Riot is removing this rule moving forward, and each ERL will apply its own rules and guidelines for team compositions.
Karmine Corp Blue and Los Ratones will participate as guests to the 2026 LEC Versus, the new version of the LEC’s Winter split. KCB earned their spot by winning the Summer EMEA Masters, and LR by having the best performance during the year.
Riot Games created this to give more visibility to the best tier 2 players. However, this was met with backlash from LEC team owners. Therefore, it’s not yet certain that this tournament will return in 2027.
